- 135 B&C or better - flat rate
- No trophy or kill fees

It is our goal to give you an exciting hunt of a lifetime, without having to travel around the world for exotic animals of your dreams.
If you are looking for something different, unique, and love the thrill of the chase, then you will enjoy this unique adventure. This is not a zoo. This is a true hunt. The animals definitely have the advantage. If you are looking for a “canned” hunt, you need to pass on this one. So grab your hunting gear, give us a call and get your stalk on.
The hunts are conducted as all-inclusive packages, or can be customized to fit your needs. We have a no-kill no-pay policy. All hunts are fully-guided, one on one. All animals are caped and quartered.
You may hunt with the weapon of your choice. Spot and stalk is the preferred method but stands are available.
Keeping the Texas Hunting Tradition Alive
Open range hunts and game preserve hunts – High fence hunting is becoming an increasingly popular management technique for property owners. Deer hunters and land owners often use high fences when intense property management is desired. After years of open range hunting, Plaska Lodge has implemented new management techniques that can only be achieved under high fence.
2000 acres of the vast 12,000 acre Texas Panhandle ranch has been dedicated to growing giant Texas Whitetail Deer. We have worked hand-in-hand with the Texas Parks and Wildlife and wildlife consultants to provide our deer with the ideal habitat to sustain thriving health and stability. All the while, our hunters are able to reap the benefits in the shape of big body, big antler whitetail, and exotic animals inside our game preserve.
The Plaska Lodge Game Preserve has given us many advantages over other hunting ranches. Inside the fence, we have the ability to closely monitor rate of birth, body mass, antler mass, provide better overall nutrition, control predation. In turn, we produce a better quality doe to fawn ratio, and buck to doe ratio. We have increased body mass and antler mass in all of our whitetail. And more importantly, we are able to bring our deer to full maturity before they are harvested.
Plaska Lodge Hunting Ranch has produced native Texas Panhandle bucks in excess of 200 inches. Our game preserve is not limited to Whitetail. We are also able to provide habitat for Texas Aoudad Sheep and several other exotic species. We have more info about our high fence hunting and management program on our Game Preserve

Plaska Lodge is also proud to still offer open range hunts. While there is still a natural Mule deer and Whitetail deer population that range freely, we also host Rio Grande turkey hunts and wild hog hunts every season.
Between our open range land and high fence hunting preserve, we can offer 17 different species of animals for you to harvest. We know that whatever game you chase, you’ll have the hunt of a lifetime with us.
